I purchased the Old Glory 50 magnet several years ago. I LOVE IT! I got mine as a magnet so it's right there every time you go in the kitchen. It's one magnet you will get compliments about. I found it easier to take it off the fridge to show them myself because I'm scared of someone else breaking it. I love it so much!
I don't hang anything from it so I cannot tell you the strength of the magnet in that way...but as far as magnets go I think it's got a good hold. (I just don't want it to break) It's not meant to be dropped repeatedly even though it is wood, it is thin and personally I am not willing to take the risks of losing it. I'm not exactly a gambling woman!
If you are thinking of getting it as an ornament, make sure it would be to use in a fixed position like on tree vs hanging like in mobile or hanging where it would twirl from ribbon. The back is not stained so you are aware in advance. (I bought the magnet. Maybe ornament has solid background ?)
This company was great to deal with and was very efficient. They really had a great idea. Ultimate in recycling and finding creative use for the wood! Great job to The Heritage Flag Co! I would have more if I could afford to. But this really is art. One of a kind. Handcrafted. Made in America.
Hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as I have. AND remember they make great gifts too!

These were the perfect size flags to give some co-workers as a token of my appreciation for what they have done. As always with anything this group does, they turned out AWESOME!
